Chuck, it has been several weeks since I heard your story at the P&G Oxnard site, but it still sticks with me and comes to my mind often. I am just now beginning my time at the Oxnard site, and as I am learning about our processes and the associated risks with each of them, I continually think of your story as a reminder to practice safety at all times of the day and in all parts of the site. It is amazing that God has used your story of pain and tragedy to touch and inspire so many lives such as mine! Your son is in my prayers as well.
Sir, you are an Honorable and Outstanding human being for how you handled your unfortunate incident. Your story hits home due to how your own family handled this situation and the struggles that you are still going through. One key area where you really touch me personally, is that morning that you did not kiss your children good bey. My mother till this day will always bless us with the cross before we leave her house and since I was a kid I never asked why till a few years ago. I’ve lost 3 older bothers in accidents and to there own demons. The answer my mother gave me reminded me of your struggles with your son and daughters. My moms response to me was, “I saw your brothers leave, but I never saw them return alive and for that I have condition myself to always leave you all and myself with the blessing of our Lord as nothing is guaranteed in this life.”
You are a true inspiration to others. keep doing what your doing, Good Bless you and your family.
Very moving life story. You are very courageous. Thank you for sharing. I wish you continued recovery and happiness.
The only problem I had with your amazing story is that you STOPPED! I coulda’ listened to you all day. Your enthusiasm, your wit, your cool accent and mostly your passion in delivering a marvelous message made this event one I shall indeed remember the rest of my life. Thank you for making the choice to share your experience with as much of the world as you can. It is a heartfelt, life-altering tale of pain, growth, overcoming and “cowboying up” when many would not have fared so well. You are an inspiration, a treasure, a hero and a great man. May God bless you and your beautiful family always as you bless the lives of others…….and may your family always indulge in the loving hugs your arms provide!!
